What changed in the model and the data

Change notes

September 2026

A clearer site: answers first, one page per topic

The dashboard now opens with the three questions most visitors ask — how full storage is, where it will be in two weeks, and whether it could reach the alarm level — next to the 14-day forecast. Details moved to their own pages: Storage, Supply, Markets and the track record.

September 2026

Pipeline flows for four countries were out of date

From 10 August the per-pipeline flow chart for Germany, the Netherlands, France and Czechia kept showing 8 August, because days with a missing value stopped the export. Fixed on 14 September; the charts update with the next nightly run. Storage forecasts and corridor stress were not affected.

New: winter outlook for Germany

How full can German gas storage get by 1 November and 1 December? The winter outlook shows a worst, realistic and best case with their assumptions, the physical injection ceiling, and what drives the result: imports, exports, demand and injection speed. It combines daily AGSI+ storage data with national flows from the Bundesnetzagentur, and you can test your own assumptions. Deterministic scenarios, not probability forecasts.

Fewer features, same free data

User accounts, the keyed data API, the annual outlook and the monthly reports were retired so the daily forecast gets the attention. Everything on this site stays free and without sign-up.

March 2026

Seven countries

Coverage grew to Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, France, Czechia and Poland. Each country has its own calibrated model with a daily 14-day forecast and a P10–P90 band; how well those bands hold is published on the track record.

February 2026

Austria added

Austrian storage is mostly porous-field storage, so deliverability drops as fill falls; the model corrects for it. Seven weather stations (Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, St. Pölten) feed the heating-demand input.
